In major European exhibition on the cruise in the Mediterranean countries, Seatrade Med 2012 in Marseilles held in November 27-29, participated with its own stand and this year the Port of Igoumenitsa, highlighting the port of Igoumenitsa, Epirus and the Northwest Greece generally, as a cruise destination representatives of larger companies and cruise operators worldwide.

Inc., provided an opportunity for potential visitors to travel to our area through images and representations, areas of natural beauty and cultural interest from Thesprotia, Ioannina, Preveza, Arta and Meteora. Areas that until now were unknown to the public of the cruise and can now be reachable from the port of Igoumenitsa.

During the exhibition O.L.IG. SA, as a member of the Association of Mediterranean Cruise Ports Medcruise, participated in the General Assembly, held Monday 11/26/2012. The Medcruise deals with the study of the development and promotion of cruise ports located in the Mediterranean region.

As part of the contacts were the President and CEO of O.L.IG. SA Mr. Tzovaras Constantine and Development Director of the company Mr. Constantine Grinias, meetings were held with representatives of cruise lines expressed and / or reaffirmed their interest in Igoumenitsa as cruise destination. Examples include the Royal Caribbean, the MSC Cruises, the Seabourn, the Saga Cruise and Princess Cruises.

As is already known, in 2013 28 scheduled cruise arrivals at the port of Igoumenitsa.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, the mission of O.L.IG. SA had the opportunity to talk with representatives from other European ports for the operation and requirements of both the cruise and the ports of the bodies and the business of each destination.
