Saranda Port management staff presented project objectives, lessons learned until now and problems & solution proposed towards a sustainable environmental management. Environmental Systems such as ECOPORT tools, ISO14001 & EMAS registration were presented. The management staff reported on experiences gained from environmental measurements and explained that results will be jointly used by the partnership to create environmental database for promoting and securing sustainability of the area. Vlore port expressed willingness for getting aware of project results, identified collaboration with port of Saranda as concerns transfer of knowledge on environmental management & sustainability & committed to future collaboration on such EU projects (Vlore-Saranda-Corfu-Igoumenitsa).
